We’re excited to announce the 2020 nonprofits benefiting from our annual hackathon. Revealed this evening at our kick-off event, they will be receiving the assistance of nearly 100 volunteers who will help create websites, databases, mapping tools, and more, for free over the next 48 hours.Follow along on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as we help these nonprofits over the next 48 hours. Anawim Housing is dedicated to ending homelessness and providing safe, affordable housing for the people in our community who need it most. Back 2 School Iowa collaborates with communities and corporations to consolidate resources in order to inspire youth to continue in their educational endeavors and build upon their future careers. Des Moines Area Religious Council is working together to meet basic human needs for the greater Des Moines community. Des Moines Heritage Trust is dedicated to the preservation of historic properties in the Des Moines metropolitan area. Iowa C.O.R.E. Inc. is a cross-sector ecosystem of minority workers, underserved businesses, philanthropists, civic leaders committed to equity-based research and economic development in historically disadvantaged communities of color. Justice League of Food believes that the cycle of poverty can be broken through an investment in individuals and the creation of jobs. One Heart Equestrian Therapy offers therapeutic services to people with disabilities using horses. Parenting Way Inc educates parents for the health, safety & success of children and youth. Please Pass the Love empowers school communities to embrace and sustain mental health and wellness supports for their students through education, leadership, and advocacy. Pursuit of Innovation (PI 515) challenges, inspires and teaches technology skills to students with potential, empowering immigrant, refugee and other underserved youth to achieve success, garner influence and gain stability in their families and communities. Wonder Years Academy is a small nonprofit childcare center serving low income families in the Des Moines area for the past 28 years.
