We are excited to announce that dsmHack will be returning June 2nd - 4th, 2022 at West48 in West Des Moines! Volunteer tickets go on sale April 12th, 2022. So, please block your calendar and save this link to purchase tickets.
A lot has changed in our world since the last dsmHack in March 2020 and while we will definitely be making some changes to accommodate a COVID-19 pandemic world, rest assured, it will still be the same dsmHack you all know and love.
We will still be helping non-profit organizations solve their technology challenges. We will still be forming teams on the fly and have all the excitement that goes with that process. There will be plenty of food and beverages and we will make sure that it is distributed safely. Finally, there will still be live demos of production ready solutions after only 48-hours.
Of course, we do want to make sure everyone can feel safe so we will also be requiring participants, representatives for non-profit organizations, and volunteers for the 2022 dsmHack 48-hour hackathon to show proof of vaccination as defined by the CDC against COVID-19 to participate in the event. Proof of vaccination includes a CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card or official immunization record from the jurisdiction, state, or country where the vaccine was administered, reflecting the person’s name, vaccine brand, and dates administered. At this time, dsmHack will not accept negative COVID-19 test results (PCR or antigen) in lieu of vaccination.
During the event, we strongly encourage the use of masks in crowded spaces and a distance of at least 6ft from other participants and attendees whenever possible. Masks and guidelines are subject to change based on mandates made by a governing entity.
Note: This post originally stated the hack would be in March with registration opening on January. We have since decided to postpone the hack until June so this post was updated to reflect the correct dates. You can find out more about our decision to postpone here.
